Terms & Conditions – Library Subscription Plans
1. Plan Usage
- These are in-store-only subscription plans. Subscribers must visit the store to rent, return, or purchase books.
- No delivery, shipping, or home pickup is offered under any plan.
2. Subscription & Security
- The subscription fee is non-refundable under all plans.
- A ₹1,000 refundable security deposit is mandatory. It is returned upon cancellation, subject to:
- No outstanding dues or penalties
- All books returned in acceptable condition
3. Book Rental Policy
- Subscribers may rent books up to a total MRP equivalent to their ₹1,000 security deposit at any given time.
- Rental beyond the free monthly limit:
- Standard Plan: ₹7/day per additional book
- Deluxe & Ultimate Plans: ₹5/day per additional book
4. Late Return Penalty
- Books must be returned within 30 days of rental.
- A late fee of ₹10/day per book will apply after this period.
- Total penalty is capped at the book’s MRP, after which the subscriber must either return the book or pay the MRP to retain it.
5. Book Damage Policy
- Books must be returned in good, reusable condition.
- Tears to pages or covers are not acceptable and may result in a full MRP penalty.
- Minor issues (like folds or light wear) are acceptable at the store’s discretion.
- Final assessment of condition and penalties will be made by the store.
6. Books to Keep
- Subscribers are entitled to keep books worth an annual value as per their plan.
- This is applicable only to selected titles, as marked in-store.
- The benefit does not roll over and cannot be exchanged for cash.
7. Subscriber Responsibilities
- Subscriptions are non-transferable and intended for individual use only.
- Misuse, repeated delays, or policy violations may result in suspension or cancellation of the subscription.
8. Cancellation Policy
- Subscribers may cancel their plan at any time.
- The security deposit will be refunded only if:
- All books are returned in acceptable condition
- No dues or penalties are pending
9. Terms Revision
- The store reserves the right to modify plan features, pricing, or policies.
- Any changes will be communicated via in-store notices or electronic communication.
- Continued usage implies acceptance of the updated terms.
